MyRecipes App Troubleshooting
Why did I receive a “Recipe Not Saved” email?
We couldn’t create a recipe from the post you shared. This can happen if the post is private, deleted, or doesn’t include enough recipe details.
You received an email because MyRecipes notifications are turned off. To receive future recipe updates in the app, turn on notifications for MyRecipes in your device settings.
The MyRecipes app won't open or keeps crashing. What should I do?
If the MyRecipes app won't open or keeps closing, try these steps:
- Force-quit and reopen the app.
- Update the app - check the Apple App Store or Google Play for the latest version.
- Restart your device and try again.
- Check your connection - MyRecipes requires sign-in and an internet connection.
- Sign out and back in - if you can open the app briefly, go to Account, sign out, then sign back in with the same account.
If that doesn't help, delete and reinstall the app. Your saved recipes and collections stay tied to your MyRecipes account - sign back in with the same account to access them. Deleting the app does not cancel a MyRecipes+ subscription.
If the problem continues, please complete this form and include your device type, OS version, MyRecipes app version (bottom of the Account tab), and a screenshot or screen recording if you can.
The MyRecipes app isn't loading or is loading slowly. What should I do?
If the MyRecipes app is taking a long time to load or content isn't appearing, start by checking your connection. MyRecipes requires sign-in and an internet connection to load your account and content.
- Check Wi‑Fi or cellular - try switching networks if one seems slow or unstable.
- Force-quit and reopen the app.
- Update the app - check the Apple App Store or Google Play for the latest version.
- Restart your device and try again.
- Sign out and back in - if the app opens but content won't load, go to Account, sign out, then sign back in with the same account.
If the app is still not loading or continues to run slowly, please complete this form and include your device type, OS version, MyRecipes app version (bottom of the Account tab), and a screenshot or screen recording if you can.
I logged in, but my saved recipes or collections are missing. What should I do?
Your saved recipes and collections should automatically sync when you sign in to the MyRecipes app with your existing MyRecipes account.
If they're missing, first make sure you're signed in to the same account you use on MyRecipes.com.
To check which email address is associated with your existing account:
- Sign in to MyRecipes.com
- Tap Account.
- Your account email address will be displayed there.
Then make sure you're using that same account when signing in to the MyRecipes app. If you normally sign in using Google, Facebook, or Apple, use the same sign-in method in the app.
If you've confirmed you're signed in to the correct account and your saved recipes or collections are still missing, please complete this form and we'll be happy to help.
I paid for MyRecipes+, but I don't have access to my membership. What should I do?
If you subscribed to MyRecipes+ but don't see your membership benefits, check two things:
- MyRecipes account - Make sure you're signed in to the same MyRecipes account you used when you subscribed (same email or sign-in method).
- Store account - Your subscription is tied to the Apple ID (iPhone) or Google account (Android) you used at checkout. Make sure that store account is active on your device.
If both match and you still don't have access, try restoring your purchase:
- Open the Account tab → Your Plan → tap Subscribe.
- On the membership screen, tap Restore Purchases.
Restoring checks your existing subscription with the Apple App Store or Google Play. It does not charge you again or start a new subscription.
If your MyRecipes+ subscription shows as active in the Apple App Store or Google Play but your benefits still aren't available after restoring, contact MyRecipes Support using this form and we'll help investigate.
How do I restore my MyRecipes+ purchase?
If your MyRecipes+ benefits aren’t showing in the app, you can try restoring your purchase.
Before restoring, please make sure:
- You’re signed in to the same MyRecipes account you used when you subscribed, including the same email address or sign-in method.
- Your device is using the same Apple ID (iPhone) or Google account (Android) you used when you purchased MyRecipes+.
Then follow these steps:
- Open the Account tab in the MyRecipes app.
- Tap Your Plan.
- Tap Subscribe.
- Tap Restore Purchases.
Restoring checks your existing subscription with the Apple App Store or Google Play. It will not charge you again or start a new subscription.
If your MyRecipes+ subscription shows as active in the Apple App Store or Google Play but your benefits are still unavailable after restoring, please complete this form and include your device type, OS version, MyRecipes app version (bottom of the Account tab), and a screenshot or screen recording if you can.
My saved recipes or collections aren't syncing. What should I do?
Recipes and collections saved to your MyRecipes account should stay up to date across MyRecipes.com and the MyRecipes app.
If you're seeing recipes or collections on one device but not another:
- Make sure each device has a stable internet connection.
- Confirm that you're signed in to the same MyRecipes account on each device.
- Close and reopen the MyRecipes app to refresh your Saves.
You can verify the email address associated with your account by signing in to MyRecipes.com, clicking Account, and checking the email address displayed there.
If your recipes or collections still aren't syncing, please complete this form and include your device type, OS version, MyRecipes app version (bottom of the Account tab), and a screenshot or screen recording if you can.
Why couldn't MyRecipes save a recipe from a website?
MyRecipes can save recipes from many popular food and recipe websites, but not every website is currently supported.
First, make sure the link you're trying to save leads directly to the recipe. You can also review our list of supported websites to confirm that MyRecipes supports the site you're trying to save from.
If the website is supported but your recipe still won't save, try again. If you're still having trouble, please complete this form and include the link to the recipe you're trying to save so our team can take a closer look.
Why hasn't my Instagram or TikTok recipe finished importing?
When you save a recipe from Instagram or TikTok, MyRecipes needs a little time to turn the social post into a recipe you can cook from.
If you have notifications enabled, we'll send you a notification when your recipe is ready. You can also check the Recently Saved section on the MyRecipes home screen for your recipe.
If your recipe has been processing for an unusually long time or doesn't appear, try saving the post again. If you're still having trouble, please complete this form and include the link to the Instagram or TikTok post you're trying to save.
My Instagram or TikTok recipe wasn't imported correctly. What should I do?
If a recipe you saved from Instagram or TikTok doesn't look right, you can let us know directly from the recipe.
Scroll to the bottom of the recipe and find:
Was this recipe imported correctly?
Tap No and follow the prompts to report the problem.
You can also edit recipes you've saved from Instagram or TikTok. Open the recipe, tap the three dots in the lower-right corner, select Edit, and update the recipe information as needed.
Why don't I see MyRecipes when I try to share a recipe from Instagram or TikTok?
If MyRecipes doesn't immediately appear as an option when sharing from Instagram or TikTok, you may need to find it in your device's full list of sharing options.
On Instagram:
Tap the Share icon on the post, then tap Share to... If you don't see MyRecipes, scroll to the right, tap More, and select MyRecipes.
On TikTok:
Tap the Send to icon on the post. If you don't see MyRecipes, scroll through the available apps and tap More, then select MyRecipes.
